Birthday gift giving PROJECT FINAL PRESENTATION
Each team is to conclude the birthday gift giver redesign project with a formal presentation. The presentation is to provide an overview of the design process. Start by reading the introduction to the Cognitive Style of Powerpoint. http://users.ha.uth.gr/tgd/pt0501/09/Tufte.pdf
Include the following elements a way organize your presentation.
Define the problem and design opportunity - not in the generic way presented in the project statement, but the unique aspects as related to your design investigation.
- Start with why.
Tell a compelling story about the design process, challenges, failure, success, and insights with your users. Focus on people as part of your solution, provide evidence of trial and error, learning, and listening to others.
- Describe what you did.
- why it is relevant
- how it is implementable
- how and why it is innovative
End with a single definitive design prototype direction. Provide a clear vision to the current success, limitations and make a pitch for the next steps.
- Outline your design process.
- create one slide for every step in the design process (empathy, define, ideate, innovate, prototype, test)
- outline key findings and insights from each step
- support with visual images
- Present evidence from testing
- build rational for next steps
- conclude with the value
Basic Requirements
- Highly creative
- Oral presentation with digital audio and visuals.
- Creatively engage your audience, create an all-in atmosphere.
- Engage storytelling and metaphors
- 8 minutes total length.
- Prepare for the questions and answers, not the presentation.
- Pictures and words used together (minimal words, clear understandable visuals)
- Make the presentation about the audience.
