Homework Assignment FOUR

Due Tuesday, February 2nd

Objective: Interview and observe wallet users with the goal to create three draft persona profiles.

Process:

1. Plan your team approach the assignment and review all requirements and procedures together. Develop a plan to that strategically addresses the goals of the interviews and observations, affinity clustering, and persona profiles.

  • organize data to be collected or observed
  • set locations and times for observations (subgroups of 2-3)
  • set time and day to affinity cluster as a group. (not an individual activity)
  • draft the persona profiles as a team or sub-teams (not alone)

2. Conduct interviews, contextual inquiries, and observations to generate knowledge and attributes key behaviors, personal goals, motivations, incentives, frustrations, etc... (Pages 4-5, Interviewing, 6-7, Observations, 8-9 Contextual Inquiry in Innovating for People)

3. As a team review field notes and create thumbnail images to summarize information and insights. ((Pages 60-61 in Innovating for People)

4. As a team affinity cluster the information with the goal of seeing patterns and connections for persona profiles. Take photos of your clusters and group to confirm attendance and record process. Broadly determine three potential persona profiles. (Pages 40-41 in Innovating for People)

5. Create three DRAFT paper and pencil sketch persona profiles on 11X17 paper. (Sub-group of 2-3 students for each persona.) (Pages 34-35 in Innovating for People)

Due at the beginning of class Tuesday, February 2nd. 

Outcome:

  • Photography of process
  • Field notes from interviews and observations
  • draft personal profile (3 complete)
